The Birth of Cool #3

At the end of the 4th session all
of the lettering, large and small,
has been cleaned up and given
several coats. Jesse and I snapped
chalklines for a grid and then I painted
in the background.

The Birth of Cool #2

By the end of the next session, most
of the yellow has been rolled over twice
with the dark brown and the lettering
more sharply edged.

Primed section on a viaduct in Oak Park
(North Blvd between Harlem and Marion)
has been painted yellow and lettering
masked out edges traced.
